I've just driven the car over 100000 but it reset itself to 0. is this usual. iirc there was enough dials to display 100000. at first i thought it had just gone awole as it seemed to be gaining more miles than i was doing but I'm not so sure now. can anyone clear this up for me quickly?

if theres only 5 spaces then yes. it would get to 99999 and then just return to 0.

think they assumed back then that the cars would never get to that distance. lol.

There's two sorts of mk2 clock, 5 digit on C's and the like and 6 digit for cl's, coupe S's, etc.

And yes, they do go round too quick (think this was picked up in early magazine tests). My milage claim doesn't mind though :)
