Right, i bought this car as abit of project but unfortunately just don't have the time for it. This car could be amazing with a little work, i'll be very sad to see it go.

The car is a 1986 D reg mk2 golf c. This means that its proper basic spec, no fag lighter, no lower centre console, no handbrake surround and no centre air vents.

I've got all the original handbooks and plenty of service history. It is in excellent condition. Before i bought it it had a mint gti carpet fitted, corrado front seats (although i would like to keep these if possible, i'd reduce the price obviously), gti rear seats and doors cards all round. It also has an early corrado rear bench (none hump) and corrado rear door cards to go with it.

Because it is an early Mk2 it has the left handed windscreen wipers, non-internally-adjustable wing mirrors, the small gear-lever surround and small 7 slat grille.

It had also had coilovers fitted and new top mounts all round and new chrome bumpers.

Now the bad parts, it does have a slight problem with oil pressure, after about 10 miles the oil pressure warning light comes on, if the revs are kept fairly high it doesn't do it, its only when the revs drop. When i bought it i drove it 35 miles home down the motorway and it didn't do it once. It was only when i slowed down through town.

The nearside front wing is pretty rotten but two new wings for both sides come with it, they're not mint either and will need a bit of work. They are alpine white though.

Its on the standard 13" steels but the only pictures i have at the minute are from the previous owner and it has BBS RMs and a roof rack which don't come with the car.

I'm not sure to be honest, i bought it with the intention of finding out and fixing myself but i just dont have the time. I really will be sad to see it go but i dont want it just sitting there doing nothing.

I dont mean to put you off but i dont know if i'd want to drive it that far with the oil pressure problem. I'm quite sure it'd be ok but i its a risk really, it would be a 140 odd mile trip. What do you think to car transporters?
