your polo's gonna end up getting posted on that rat look site

Probably already is tbh. they seem to have posted every other car with a roofrack and a spot of rust

They would see my MK2 and call it a heap of junk i bet. and that's naturally ratty

8-)

Going off that thread 'what is rat look' where they have a point about matt/satin paint being a form of rat look, when i spray my E30 matt black, if anyone calls it rat look, ill be forced to smack them in the mouth :x

Same from when i had my nova loon, someone called that rat look

Arrrrgghhh!!! you nob head!, matt does not equal rat (my sig on novaload/png)

What look is that exactly walshy? Or is it "the walsh look" ??

sleeper look

Fair enough neil sounds good to me

I wasnt trying to make it any particular style dude :-) just doing what i liked/wanted at the time. Wouldnt say its 'walsh look' though, as I'm not the first to matt a car, spray the roof a different colour or spray the dish/lips a different colour. Far from rat look though

I had a few other ideas i wanted to add, but didint get time, so shall be doing them on the e30 8-)

Infact, i call it rattle rides  (name has nothing to do with rat, AT ALL, but with the use of rattle can spraying)

Rules of the style of a rattle ride, having fun with modding your car, making it what you want but by means of doing it yourself without much care of finish :-D who wants to join me? I'm making stencils and everything 8-)

I would be more than up for joining you walshy, but I love the colour of my car  And the paint isnt actually bad....I'm in the bruised wing brigade tho ;)

Nah, you dont have to spray your car, just have fun :-D

Bruised wing is a must though :lol:

Well thats there to stay, I think it gives me a more "mean" look

And messing with polo's is always fun! :p Except when they dont want to work.....

Some of the divs on that forum think anything is rat look..

The old air cooled stuff IS rat, the rust etc has happened naturally and they've kept the mechanics good so the cars still driveable.

The new cars with the rusty bonnets are just 'forced' rat, as someone said, no way would a car rust after 3 years..

Stuff like the Mk3 Polos like JimmyB's and that Mk5 Golf with the tartan bonnet arent even trying to be rat..

Any more pics of that Neil? 8-)

Of course the next step from rat-look is hoodride (an american forum thingy started by the guy in the first bug)

pics-max-8429-172908-cox-hoodride.jpg

But like everything, the trend spreads and people badge up their cars as hoodride when they clearly arent...

I'm in love  despite stupid - camber

doesnt the camber do that by itslef when you lower beetles? or have i been hearing shite?

Right.... it's that time of night :unibrow:

that looks so amazing! :o

Nope thats what happens

So badly tempted to go on there and slate the lot of them. Boredom is to blame

These people just anger me.. how is that golf with the orange bonnet rat? Why do they think its rat? what\'s rat about it? IDIOTS!!!!

Also saw a mint BMW on there, all it had was a roofrack yet they were banging on about it being rat  No, its a mint BMW with a roofrack, it isn\'t rat ffs

 Was at halfords with my grandad earlyer getting roof rack fitting bars for his 05 Rover 75, must be a ratty one now

Actuallyyy

DSC00240.jpg

I used it to make it look rat

Does my old bug on this pic count as ratty? Electric tape, areas of filler , bottom of door covered in red oxide, a hole in the front panel it must be !!!! Wasn\'t i cool

Best not show that plo and bug pic some ratters might \"jizz in their pants\"

Some rat looks cool and i think some aircooled pull it off with od acception of a cpl of watercooled. When i say \"pulled it off\" i mean it looks ok. Not its a true ratter as thats to do with hotrods etc...

There are some nice cars on that site, the polo i posted looks ok but not to my taste, some cool retro bolt on stuff mainly

but 85% of them are chavs/fools thinking *nitromorse on my paint, some matt black, some satin colours, and I\'m scene, people wil love me woo*

This will be 100% ratty to them, waitrose car park + snow might even fool them into thinking OMG WHITE WALL TYRES! RATTY-

imo rat look = FAIL!

Rat is the stupidist thing ever.

I'd never want to drive a car which looks like it should be in a scrapyard.
