Hey there, bout time I introduced myself - I'm Matt. Bought this mk3 k plate polo 1.3 genesis with a knackered head gasket for a mighty 100 notes about 3 months ago. It only had 60k on the clock and 2 careful lady owners with a fsh. As soon as I got it home I set about getting to work!

The plan with this car unlike my previous motors is that I am going to try and do everything on a very small budget without compromising quality and style. Its not what you know, its who you know! :)

Right finally managed to get some images on photofukit after ages pissin aboot. Cars going in for a respray next week, cant wait till I get it back!

Sound system going in 2 hours after i bought it :)

As it stands now. Next plans are respray (next week), copious amounts of lowerage, and possibly gunna strip it out

Paint ideas, although main colour might be going bmw ice white.

Opinions please! I dont know whether people are gunna approve of the planned paint but I'm gunna do it anyway as I'm like that lol. :)

dont like the black paint on the bonnet at all, couler code the bumper would look nice, other than that its looking sweet!

^^ the man speaks the truth, that colour looks great with cc'd bumpers but definately lose the black bit on the bonnet

hmm I'm not sure yet. The photoshop i did was really bad but when i mocked up an old bumper I had with hammerite in black it looked pretty good. Will have to see! Cant wait to get it into the bodyshop :)

how come they didnt remove the washer jets from the bonnet? looks very shiney! was it a very expensive job?

my uncle owns a bodyshop and has been painting for 30 years. I'm paying 400 quid all in. Was meant to be 2500 quid but I'm family and I've helped him out with some engine work a few times. Paintings definatly not my thoughté though!

Yea man I know. Hes having the car for a week so he still has quite a bit more to do and he really does know his stuff. Will get some good photos when I get it back Tuesday and post them

Yea he did it before he gave it back to me. Cant wait to get the suspension on. Considering taking the spare wheel out so I can set my sub in the wheel recess.

Is it a legal requirement to have a spare wheel?
