does anyone know if the mk5 gti headlights will fit into a normal 6n2 1.4 16v, i mean straight fit without any cutting.....

No, they require cutting, and quite alot more than you would expect.

Still, I wouldn't shy away, the difference GTI headlamps make is phenomenal!

I have put the gti xenons on my TDI and my girlfrinds 1.4 16v, and both required cutting. more on the 1.4, but no of the cutting is visible when finish :)

yes, that is straight fit. Only "problem" is that the plug on the car is a bit short, så is a bit more tricky to loosen the clip if you gonna take the lamp out again. But there is not a big issue, so I have it that way. You must have xenon kit to the lamps, if you dont have the stock xenon boxes and bulb. I have aftermarket xenon in all the lights in front, and the same on my girlfrindes, all 8000k.

And, you all, one thing to remember. If you have to change a bulb or something, you must take the bumper of, and lamps out to do it. have done that 20times now i think. same pain each time

how much did the gti xenons set you back if you dont mind :-D

I got them second hand £170 from someone breaking their GTI. Took a long time to find them as I couldn't find a decent set anywhere and wasn't prepared to pay for brand new ones. Average prices for secondhand ones i found was between £150-200 dependent on condition.
