Get some differint color panels, or rub the shine off some. Rub the laqure from some too. Never ending really. There is a website you could try for inspiration, www.rat-look.com

this is a real rat rod or 'traditional' as it should be known!... none of that leaving stuff out and paint stipper malarcy, the real deal... weathered old panels and a fuck off engine!

I'm not ratting the whole car just the bonnet, any one no of anyone with a spare ats cassic

rat look, isnt a look you can acheive instantly, its something that takes a while, and not all rat cars are just rusty bonnets, they are rusty everything.. so if you think your gunna go rat look, you either acheive full rat look, or just fake rat look...

I know there isnt a certain look but.. you cant just throw on a rusty bonnet and expect to acheive it..!

Rant over :)

no you

Xcore, why dont you keep your opinions to yourself if your not going to be helpful? Just because his plans dont match your own, and he's not going for that over-done and tired euro style, (no doubt the style that somone without a personality, like you, has gone for) , there's no need to slate other peoples ideas. Are the only valid styles smoothed bumpers on a 6n? No mate. Positive critisism is no doubt welcome, but purely slagging an idea is mindless. Why is it, on this forum site specificly, people seem to have such a problem with eachothers cars and ideas? Unless you having somnething helpful to say, keep it to yourself children

Now thats how you rant

I've Had an idea :)

Instead of 'Ratting' your car...

Go 'Retro'

as in Retro roof Rack

sooooooper upswept exhaust...

amongst other things...

But pleeeaasseeee Not Rust!

:p

Sean

go prankstar big up man lol looking for a roof rack and a ats cassic

whats wrong with just ratting the bonnet. a nice clean car with scabby bonnet looks smart imo, been done so many times but looks cool

do what you like mate, there are always haters.

no thats how you whine like a girl

hes not going for the over done "euro" look, hes going for the equally overdone "rat" look. since i dont own a 6n i dont really care for smoothed bumpers, but people do it because it actualy looks good and clean, unlike a rusty bonnet on an otherwise tidy car (judging from the silver polo on the ops dp).

theres always going to be haters who arnt scared to voice there opinion so get over yourself.

But you used your right to an opinion to offend. There's no need. If you dont like an idea, either keep it to yourself, or give your opinion in a more diplomatic way. However, judging from your comments so far, i doubt thats something your unlikely to be able to do. Attitudes like your own are not wanted by the majority, as I'm pretty sure you wouldnt have the balls to voice your opinions yo peoples faces. I'v just returned to this forum after a few years, and now i'm remembering why i left. Take a leaf frompolo3.co.uk and httuning.co.uk, you might learn some manners

i dont intend to offend, i just cant be arsed to piss about so i get straight to the point.

please give me an example of a more "diplomatic" way?

if you want to increase the rusting effect spray salt water on it.

I'm keen to see this 'ratted bonnet' on the car, go for it!

dont hate, appreciate.
