Polo mk3 Genesis Brakes

Featured Replies

Whenever I brake at about 3k revs or over 50 the car wobbles, any ideas what it could be? I've had my front pads and discs changed, I reckon it could be the rear shoes as the brake pedal depressed causes a squeaking from the rear.

Also has anyone else used a master cylinder from a golf gti? I'm seriously considering upgrading the brakes coz there rubbish. Whats the cheapest way to do it?

just shakes mate and the steering wheel rattles.

sounds like warped discs to me. You say you've only just had them replaced though, did you take it easy for 100 miles or so to bed them in?

Take it back to whoever changed them and ask them what's going on.

It could be the anti roll bar mounting bushes need replacing. When they get tired the ARB moves about and as it controls the wheel position as well you can get a wobble under braking. I found that sometimes when you brake it is OK and other times you get the wobble. Check for shiny paint on the ARB either side of the bush. Replace with Powerflex bushes.
