hi all, i have mk3 polo and it has failed its MOT, it quotes "offside front (retiner for shock insert) macpherson strut corroded and seriously weakened" i brought the shocks today but not sure really if i brought the right part. could anyone send me a picture as to what I'm supposed to purchase..

Sounds as though the metal part the shock sits in has seen better days. Best off going to a scrappy, buying a set and then cleaning them up and hammeriting them. I do mine and they're still good.
