SO my exams finish in about 5 weeks, and i have started to plan my summers activities! (polo wise)

I have been a hankering for a 16v splitter on the front for a while, and i also need to replace the front bumper as when my sister had it, she was in london, and the bumper got scraped to buggery!!!!!! such a nightmare!

Also massive scratch on Rear bumper, but considering touching that up....?

Anyway....i want to know:

Is a 16v splitter a straight fit onto a 8v?

Do i need an 16v bumper with 16v splitter?

What is the difference between a 16v/8v bumper (front and rear)?

Help is much appreciated!

8v front bumpers come in 2 sections. The bottom half only contains 1 long thin grille and is inset from the top half.

The 16v bumper is a straight down, one piece bumper with 5 grilles in, basically, a more sporty look and allows more air into the engine bay. It also sits roughly an inch lower bumper wise, however, this is counteracted by the 16v splitter which is around half the size of the 8v splitter.

The rear bumpers are a similar story.

The 8v rear bumper comes in two parts, the top half is plastic, the bottom is metal. Once again, the bottom half is inset more.

The 16v rear bumper sits around an inch lower and is basically the 2 sections of the bumper smoothed into one essentially. Once again, providing a smoother/sportier look to the car =]

Well this has further convinced me that i want the 16v bumpers

But how about fitting them? are they the same fitment? is it just a case of swapping them over or do i need to re drill stuff?
