Just realsied i haven't actually got a build thread of the gti, so here goes quickly put this one together from the past year and a half hope you like, all comment's welcome............

• Bonnet bra
• Drivers/passenger stubby mirror
• German pressed plates
• Wolfsburg numberplate surround
• B-pillars in black
• Genuine vw black front badge
• Enfig s2000 ariel
• De-badged & de-wipered rear tailgate
• White led prism sidelights
• Silvertech indicator bulbs (front indicators)
• Wheel whores sticker

Interior Styling:

• Alpine 9853 headunit
• Infintity door speakers

When i first got the car decemebr 2007-

Took me a fair few months to actually spend anything on it appart from cleaning it, firstly i had the car go in for a full sevice and a cambelt and waterpump, when the garage had finished they took it to the bodyshop and had the sill repaired as there was damage to it from the previous owner, whilst i was catching a tan in egypt

Then i started enjoying the car for what it was attending shows and deciding what to do........

At ultimate dubs 2008 parked next to me mates mk1 -

Then i set field and decided some RM's were needed so i set out to find a set in need of a refurb, finding a set standards which did need a refurb for 375quid so a bargin, they went to mike the polisher and got a full refurb powercoated black baskets and bolts chrome plated, whilst they was away i got a set of stainless dish's brand new 1.5" and 2", when they got back i had the fun of building em up,

And having a set of toyo proxes t1rs fitted all round in a 195/45 to give it s slight strech.

i needed to adjust the coilovers as they was rubbing so got the c-spanner out and started adjusting and then guess what they were that seized on, i ended up snapping one of the lock of clean off baring in mind i set my hopes upto get em done for edition38 2008 so that was a no go'er got myself a whole new set of o-rings ordered direct from fk and had them all refurbed after edition so now there just like brand new £80quid poorer on o-rings

finshed article being after full coilover refurb-

thats how it stayed for a while then i added a few little touches a stubby drivers side mirror, got the b-pillars done in black, de-wipered the tailgate and also decided to add a bit of colour to the wheels ......

wheels took me quite a while but its summat different just used red vinyl might not be to everyones likings but easy to take off.... (pics from the skeg-vegas show)

thanks matey, yeah thought about it but prefer it with the smoothed bumpers, and dont plan on doing anything as big as that to it to be honest i'll stick with the standard look n not copy lol

Liking the way the red bits on the wheels brake up the amount of silver you have going on. Still yet to see you around Skeggy but maybe one day?

umh, there is a few dubbers (which we all stick together to be honest) around but we tend to go for a blitz over to the lincoln one, dono could try it and see if anything happens i suppose??

And I've had a mate make me up a custom cold air feed just waiting for him to finish it of by getting it on his polisher, then it can be fitted-

also got a pair of mirror casings which are going shiney black.....

Worth it i reckon though! Not yet, this month though hopefully when i get paid. Think i've decided on the wheels, just need to choose the tyres to go with it lol. I need to update my build thread, not done it for ages lol.

Saw this with the rim tape park in the industrial estate near halfrauds, parked in the corner away from other cars lol. Wheels Looked niceee.
