'99 Black Valver

Featured Replies

Thought I'd stick up a few pics of my car. 5th Polo, but first one that's not a MK3.

Got it about 6 weeks ago totally standard, with 76,000 miles on it.

Looked like this:

Came with a load of service history, including new alternator, brake bits, clutch and a recon gearbox etc in the past 6 months.

All ran fine etc, but done a few things so far including:

- had some paintwork touched up

- Oil and Filter

- Second hand Phil J coilovers

- G60 wheels, 195/45/15s

- Debadged grill, removed the Polo badge

- Panasonic head unit with new JVC and Pioneer speakers in the front, JBL 6x9s in a custom back shelf and JBL 12" in the boot.

- New numberplates

Looks like this now:

I'm pretty happy with the way it looks, I prefer it pretty OEM, but still got to clean the engine bay, and will be getting some proper components for the front so I can lose the 6x9s. Then maybe exhaust, chip, brake upgrades etc etc..

Might also go back to a badged grill, but spray the VW badge black, and do the same at the back.

Let me know what you think and any suggestions welcome..

Ta!

Yeh, just G60 (Passat winter?) wheels. Got them off Lukeyg on here, who also had them on a black valver.

Always liked these wheels but never had the right car to put them on. I actually bought the wheels before the car, so I had to get a 6n to put them on.
