Car-less at the moment after the polo failed the m.o.t a month ago........original plan was to break it and get a mk2 golf which was all going well and i put a deposit down on 16V Gti and the whole thing went tits up the day i was meant to go and collect due to the insurance company fucking up and putting the wrong reg no down and giving me an incorrect quote........anyway i got my fingers burnt to the sum of £100 as i lost half of the deposit......and I've got no car. still got the money to get another car and I'm working to the budget of £2000, £1000 of my hard earned and £1000 once I've finished selling the bits off the polo then getting rid of the car standard............my options at the moment are:

a)Spend the money on the polo and give it a new look, basically go all out on it

b)Look for another mk2 GTi

c)Get a BMW E30 325i (kinda swaying towards this)

what you guys reckon? i do like cars from the 90's was even considering a merc 190e cossie

umh e30 i want one for track days , if you still like the polo update the polo if not get summat that will put a smile on you face fella

if you were given an incorrect quote, does that mean when you got the quote, it was too expensive?

if you cant afford insurance on a 16v, surely a 325 will be more....

^ AA quoted me £850 on the gti but the reg no they put in came up as a GL, when they put the correct reg it came to £3000

Direct line on the 325i works out at £1450, direct line on the gti comes to £1300.......rather go for the beemer and pay the extra

Bmws are very expensive to service unless you can do the work yourself.

I'd say refresh your polo and then spend what you have left over having a damn good weekend

i wouldnt waste 2+ on a mk4 polo

still got my e30 cabby but thats not going to be a daily................more and more tempted to go mad on the polo.........i thnk unless a good e30 comes up by the time i finish exams its gonna have to be phase3 for the 6n i font see it costing too much to do the polo either, need to give it a new look tho hmmmmm
