Hello everyone, I'm a bit of a newbie to clubpolo, thought i'd share a few pics of my newly acquired polo with y'all.

Enter the mk3 Polo saloon, bought from a friend 'bassam' on here.. hopefully, 1st make over finished by the CP show coming up!

This is how he had the car about a month back ish..

I've had the car about 3 weeks but the work has already begun,

239mm grooved/drilled and vented disc's with EBC green stuff pads from a mk2 gti 8v.

Sorry i didnt have any post clean pics, just the dirty ones! :-)

I also added a gt wheel that a friend kindly donated to the cause, and set off on the voyage for more power, gt cam!

Rebuilt the head over last weekend with a friend, due to a slight mishap with a bent valve, but all is now well.

Also bought some wheels from here, currently being refurbed in satin black.. should be on early next week.. and added a bonnet bra for good measure!

Thats it upto now, i bought it as a runner while I'm building my 1st love up.. 20vt vento

But as it happens, this is getting all the love at the minute

I see your like your cars with a boot can't fault it!

I see it's an NZ engine in your saloon, quite common to find them in 1.3 mk3 saloons (the one I used to have had one in). Tunable little engines really.

Loving the Mk3 mate it sat really well on those banded steelies ..

Anticipating the wheels will look pretty sick what size are they ?

The wheels are centra turbo's .. 14x6j et 30 . The steels are 14x6j et38, so it will be sat very similar to how it is now, but with added 20mm spaces on the rear!

bonnet bra was purchased from the CP classifieds.. fits a mk3 and mk4 dude

Lookin good man!!! How did you find the drive once the gt cam was in? I'm waiting on a gt cam for my mk3 loon too. I have an aav though rather than an nz but id imagine the gains would be similar.

evans.l: I noticed the power gains straight away! pulls alot stronger and tops out at about 10-15mph more (mine did anyway)

You'll be pleased with the 0-60, its nippy !

The roof was already checkered when i bought the car dude, its just vinyl sheets as far as i know!

Its a pretty rough job tbh, but adds to the charm i guess

Hello everyone, heres a little update..

Fancied a change of colour on the wheels so sent them off to the powder coaters. I got them back today so thought i'd get them on asap

Satin Black.

Excuse the height, looks high compared to the vento, but i am on a hill!

Those balloons will be getting replaced shortly... although i have my peepers on another set of wheels so we'll see. Could be up in a week or so, who knows :-)
