Hi I'm thinking of getting my rear handles smoothed, will I have to install door poppers or is there no need as they can still be opened from the inside? basicaly is it legal? will it still pass MOT? will it look better-worse? I cant decide! whats peoples' opinion on this mod?

You would need some sort off poper thing as yer you can get out but how you get in, in the 1st place.

If you have some sort off poper then yes it will pass an MOT.

But imo i dont like it as it says to me that you want to hide that you have a 5 door.

no requirement (if i remember rightly) to have a solenoid on the rear doors, as you already said, you can get in through the front doors.

I'm not sure about wether i like it or not..i have a 5 door for no reason except that i like it..am not sure its hiding the fact that you have a 5 door but it does add to the smoothness lol

Ok so is it legal without door poppers or not? I still cant decide if it would look good. I'm not trying to make it look like a 3 door- if I wanted a 3 door I would have bought one!,but the door handles arent very nice to look at and having 4 of them makes it worse lol, I was thinking smoothed rear handles and a Audi A3 front handle conversion maybe? or might just move the rear handles to the front(de-locked). has anyone done this? pics would be great.

or should I just leave alone lol.

this mod looks dapper, i say go for it

It should be legal, i see no reason for it not being. You can get out of the car in case of an emergency so thats covered....

I think it should look good aslong as you get it done properly.

alright mate have you got anymore pics of it? did it pass MOT like that?
