Wiring newbie :/

Featured Replies

Hi there

I've just got a 55 9n2 polo and am going to upgrade the audio kit.

I'm looking at putting in a

- new headunit

- Sub

- Amp

and in the future componenets.

So my quetion is does anybody have some detailed guides about wiring all this up and where to run cabling?

ps. does the VW standard Double DIN MP3 compatible head unit have the option of adding an amp and sub? and possibly an aux cable because i would like to do this if possible?

Thanks in Advance

You could use a the factory headunit using an adapter but it would be alot better quality if you bought an uprated headunit. Also, you need to run the power cable and remote turn on wire on one side of the car. Then you need to run the RCA and the front components wiring, then ground the amp to the metal part behind the rear lights.
