ok so I got a 300w rms active sub and I'm gonna get some 4 gauge power wire and ground wire I've already got the RCA cable I have shed loads for my decks but anyways the amp part of the sub has a fuse slot in it so do I need to put an inline fuse in and also do I need to put a switch in aswell? Use a 18gauge wire for the remote turn on, and put a fuse in the fuse slot on the amp and put a inline fuse on the power wire

Remote turn on is done via a cable from your headunit, sends a signal down it when your headunit is on, turning your amp on too. It's not a physical remote.

Without a remote turn on your amp will not turn on with just a 12Ve + and Ground...it needs that signal to actually turn 'on'

Imagine it as your PC being plugged in, but doesnt turn on till you push the button telling it to turn on.

The remote wire from your headunit will be a thin blue wire.

If you don't have a remote turn on then the amp woudn't get a signal from the headunit to turn on, yes you put the power wire in throught the grommet. Depending on the power rating on the amp, you'll need the correct wire gauge.

For the remote turn on all you need is a 12v supply if you want a switch literally find a 12v source wire it through a switch and then run it to the amp. your amp will not turn on unless you have the remote part powered :)

I'm just thinkin I wanna really neat job and I wanna push it through the gromet and though some pipng to the battery (will there be any pipng to fit it in, in a 6n?? There are also some grounding points under the side

Yes, use 4 gauge wire if you wasn't living far away i would of fitted it for you. So you can put the wire through the firewall you need to take back the carpet and look for a grommet and feed the wire through there. The grounding point is behind the left rear light where mine is grounded.
