Mk4 6n Polo *SOLD*

Featured Replies

right, just been to GSF and parked outside is a very tidy looking golf gti mk4 for sale. being optimistic i did a few insurance quotes and actually got some damn good prices for it. so looks like my pride and joy will be up for sale :)

the polo;

its a R-registered mk4 (1998 i think), 1.6 8v. its done just over 108k miles (may be a fair amount but it still runs sweetly :)). I've owned the car for about a year and a half now, and in that time the gearbox has been fully reconditioned, the clutch has been done, the cam belt has also been done, as well as the thermostat (common problems on polo's I've been told). wheel bearing at the front have also been done, although I'm rubbish with keeping receipts so dont have many! local mechanic has done most of the work so can pass his details on if you want info on the car.

the car itself is in good condition, few small scuffs but nothing major at all. looks damn tidy after a good polish!

the car has been subtley modified, spec is as follows;

1.6 8v engine with custom induction kit inc samco hosing and cold air feed

aftermarket backbox (make might be 'savage', not sure)

polished rocker cover - bit dirty so may need another polish!

debadged boot (except the VW badge) and badgeless grill

clear front indicator lenses

metal pressed plates (still have standard plates if wanted/needed)

lowered quite a lot on TA technix evo coilovers

wheels are BBS rz i think, apparently they are originally from a corrado g60 and have good tread left

tyres dont scrape AT ALL even at full lock or under hard cornering, and the coilovers are wound down pretty much as low as they can go with the helper springs left in!

a bonnet bra is also included in the sale only used a few times

also have fitted orange LED sidelights which i think look pretty cool!

the car is my pride and joy but as said there are a few small scuffs so therefore it isnt perfect! the worst part is the passenger side wing-mirror, which has a cracked casing but i have a replacement mirror waiting to be properly sprayed and fitted.

i still have the standard alloys that it came on when i bought it, all with legal tyres on so they will be included in the sale. all my ICE (decent vibe 6x9's powered by an amp, fli sub/amp kit and kenwood door speakers) will be left in the car aswell, easily £150-200 worth of stuff there. will be wanting to take my CD player but for a bit extra i could leave that in too :)

MOT isnt due till 17th october so it has a good few months left, flew through the last one :)

tax runs out on the 28th feb 2010 so lots of time on that too.

basically everything i have left for the car will all be sold with it, so you'll have a few spares.

i would like as close to £1000 for it as possible, I'm located just outside of lincoln should anyone want to view. pm me for more info (not that there is much more to tell :))

cheers.

forgot to add (not that its too important) but its also had a new battery fitted recently :) lol

Alright there, vary interested. Out of intereset whats the insurance is like, as i'm 17

insurance shouldn't be too bad mate, as it's just a 1.6 8v. but if you declare the modifications it will go up a fair amount i would have thought.

just run the reg through confused.com or something, to get a basic idea of prices :)

darnn thats nice, shame i just bought one :(

very interested mate. would u be able to drop the price any? lowest price??

very interested mate. would u be able to drop the price any? lowest price??

as I'm throwing in everything i have for the car, like its old alloys, its old K&N 57i induction kit, its standard plates, all the sound system, and all the parts that have been fixed/replaced over the two years I've had it, i cant really go lower than £1000. plus I'm buying/have bought myself a new car already lol so need as much as possible!

if you want to come view the car though and make an offer anyway, I'm sure we could come to an agreement once you've seen it :-)

my email is tom_nellist@hotmail.co.uk. a couple of guys are interested in it though, so get back to me by email as soon as :)

cheers!

tom

how much for the car without all the sound system? cheers

cant really be bothered to take it all out to be honest lol! just worked out today that you are getting over £120 worth of tax with the car, as i spent £180 i think getting the full years tax in february. plus with the spare alloys, bonnet bra and sound system i cant really take less than £1000.

if you offer less mate i'll keep the bonnet bra at least, so pm me an offer :) i may take out the sound system if you really dont want it in :) so like i said pm me with your best offer! the worst i can do i say no lol
