Read up,best thing. You need as much knowledge as you can get,not just enough to get it running..

Its all here. The pinned topic has links to other topics and you end up reading threads half full of banter but you've just got to take the time to get the knowledge.

I know its difficult when you read those topics and people are being told to refer to the topic you got the link from in the first place,but you just read past all the haver and the more you read the better.

There's a topic floating around at the moment,people having problems with fuel mixture or something,and with what they're saying its obvious they've not read up on the pinned topic because they're missing details/technicalities in there and spending far more time scratching their head than they would if they just read up.

People have taken the time to put our experience up,but we're damned if we're gonna spend 2010 repeating ourselves for those who cant be arsed to research for their own cause.

yea i know I've had a look but i cant find a question that asks what size should the manifold to carb tubes should be? as i have got 2" tubes off the manifold and then going to connect them to the carbs with samco, so its going to be quite long from manifold to carbs, so if anyone knows what is an ideal size?

What size is the exit from the carbs? go as close as you can to that! You don't want huge long inlet manifolds or you'll suffer from fuel "falling out" of the mixture and the car will run shit!

Dont polish your manifolds either. you need an element of roughness to create turbulence to keep your air/fuel mixture a mixture.

look at pics that people have posted and copy!

Its all in there,and that's just what I've posted. I've said i used 40mm ID pipe,and I've even put up a diagram of the flow track from carb to port showing the profile of the tube,flanges and seals.

Lets see how long it takes me to find this info,and how i found it..
