Hi all I used to have a mk3 on 15" that rubbed like buggery on lowered suspension

So..would 16" on standard and lowered Mk4 M reg be ok?

You'll probably have the same problem if you lower it any decent amount. I wouldnt go bigger than 15s

15's and lowered for my vote.. possibly 14's depending how low you are going.

16" are no problem with lowering, you just NEED THE RIGHT TYRES! there are many types of tyres in 16s....

and you will generally have to stretch the tyres...i had them on my polo when it was slammed and had absolutely no problems :)
