Can anyone tell me the legalities of using bike style plates on a car

I.e two lines of characters

Done a search and cant seem to find anything relating to this.

i had one on my white car dan on the front as long as the letters are the same dimensions and font as the are on a normal reg its ok e.g jap/us bootlids are ok here

I'm sure some cars come like it standard... i think it would look good on me capri now you mention it 8-)

Bike plates are different from the "uk square" car plate.

You get bike plates, then a legal square UK one, and then a legal rectangular import one.

My dads pajero import had a square plate on the rear if that helps in any way :lol:

yep cars do have square plates but the measurements are different to the square of a bike.

they are larger, so they meet the regs for a normal car plate. missus mx5 has a square rear plate.

bike plates are illegal on a car though

So as long as it conforms to the sizes of a car plate it doesnt matter that its split onto two lines? Schweet, so gona do that on the mk3!
