As above just wondering what the steering damper does on the mk3 and what difference it makes?

it keeps it moist in case it's not raining.

its faily quick and easy to fit.

u just need the damper itself and the L shaped bracket for the drivers side, and 2 bolts for holding it on.

it takes any bumps out the steering wheel a wee bit better, but still lets u get plenty of feel through the wheel as its more a big resistor as the steering arms etc remain unchanged.

it also helps with "bump steer" if you are running bigger wheels i have found.

you can get one faily cheep (£15-20) i would fit it personally. :thumbsup:

Ok thanks for the help guys

yeah i run one on my standard bread , i found without it the steering used to be effected by every mark and bump on the road...the dampener takes out alot of that without any bad points

agreed if you find one for cheap its worth it...can be fittted in 30 mins
