mk4 Polo 16v Front Bumper

Featured Replies

Alright people

I have got this mk4 Polo 16v Front Bumper with 16v Splitter

i was planning on smoothing this out and putting it on my polo but i've now sold that so this has to go aswell

i was going to smooth out both side vents on both sides but only managed to do one half, this could be a perfect project for a D.I.Yer

i cut out plastic measured correctly and welded this in with a soldering iron but is solid as, fibreglassed the back to make it stronger and fillered the front and sanded down and is now smooooth, just need to do other half

am looking at about £45 for this

my number is 07871017419 or pm me if interested

to show you it was done properly

plastic welded

sorry £45 is the lowest I'm willing to go, collection from my house would be ok on friday about mid day

40 was my budget, as if i bought it i was going to have to take that fibreglass and filler out and weld bits of plastic in to do a propper job so theres no filler involved, but thanks anyway.

lol can you not read what i wrote right at the top mate, i said that i cut out correctly measured pieces of plastic from an old 8v bumper and welded it in and made sure it was strong and obviously fillered it to finish it off and make it smooth, its gonna be very very hard to make it smooth without using filler and i only used abit of fibreglass at the back to strengthen it abit more, i haven't cut corners anywhere, therefore i have already done a proper job on it

yes i can read what you done and well done, but i can also tell theres a bit of filler in there, I'm a panel beater, and have done quite a few smooth bumpers before and alot of plastic welding on oter bumpers without any need for anyfiller (at the most a tiny bit of stopper)
