Hi all,

My names Luke (Kuszpit) i am 16 and i am newish to this forum and desided to add my thread of my car. My first car was a BMW e36 318is coupe that i boght off one of my brothers and modified it. I then check the insurance to find it would Be £2900 or £5773 so forget that and desided to buy a Vw polo 1.4 16v.

I looked for a while to buy a 16v and couldn't find any good ones in my price range. So i went for this one but managed to see the potential.

It sent me back £900 and £100 to get it picked up it had M.O.T till the end off the year and some previous mot's but no tax which didn't bother me cause am not old enough to drive anyway :p. Here are the pics advertised on Autotrader which attracted me too buy it.

I desided the first thing it needed was a wash but i checked to see if my windows went down and my drivers window regulator went. AHHHHH.

Seen as i was unable to wash it i removed my badges to paint the black and dewipered and debadged and removed the crap number plates and removed my seats to clean them and give the car a proper hover.

After that i started on the engine. It was well shagged and horibble so i soon sorted that.

Got sick of not being able to wash it so i washed it and insted of water to rinse it i just used a shammy to dry it off and then gave her a good polish with G3 compound and then some meguires on the bodywork.

I didnt think the indicators looked right so i bought e-codes from ebay and ripped out those horrible orange clusters in the side repeaters and put chrome bulbs in insted of the white. :D

Remove the head lights and put in the oven for a couple of mins to loosen the glue and then seperate the lense. mask the inside and face of the lense with masking tape. paint the colour of your choice and reseal with glue. am sure theres a thread somewhere on here mate which goes into detail.

Looking good, nice clean example. Reckon you should spend a fair bit more time on that rocker cover though, get it too a nice mirror shine :)

Some very good work going on there, can i ask, what wax do you use and how do you get it to look that good?! what ddi you use on your rocker cover? excellent work mate id be really chuffed!
