Are you still planning on selling those Alleycats ?

They look a good job :)

dude you have some serious skills!

almost tempted to keep my valver and get my arse in gear n have a play with it!

was gonna throw my ally cats on it but by the looks of this htread they aint gonna fit! thinki'll throw my exips on it instead...

when you polish the paint off the front face of the spokes how do you avoid chipping the paint on the spokes?!?!

what didyou use to strip the paint off them?

Thanks mate. :)

To strip the paint off i used. Nitromorz. (its in a green square tin, can be found in most DIY stores) and to strip the paint off the faces i used a power drill. But the drill bit i used was one for wood. Itsa round disc that i used to to sand varnish off tables etc.

Hope this helps.

If you need any other info just give me a shout.

sweet cheers due will give it a whirl once i've got some cars running!

Hi folks,

So i eventually got coilovers :) they came 2days ago so i got set to fitting them yesterday. They r just TAtenix ones 20-120mm, so i set them all to 120mm :D

I was also planning on buying a private plate next week but as always when you save for something you want something breaks and it needs fixed. :S My exhaust blew today and its a little whole thats unrepairable so my private plate cash has to go on an exhaust. So a full custom descrete stainless system will be replacing it instead so all good. :)

Ok so back to the coilovers. I will let the pics do the talking. :)

so all fitted and set at 120mm. Now its just left to settle :)

Picture050.jpg

So today i has to go pick up a temp sonsor for the valver so went a little drive and it handles like its on rails :)

i also took a couple of pics of it at the parts centre and one in at audi when my bro was checking my exhaust.

Picture052.jpg

Picture053.jpg

it scraped going onto the ramp and the block used for the low R8's wouldn't even fit :)

So thats it. am really pleased with it but i will have to raise it over winter but will be going back to decked when the weathers better. :)

Thanks for looking.

Chris

wicked!! did you spray paint the visors and handles on the roof?

Just read your full thread mate, good work :-) I don't think thats -120mm though, mine was lower and it defo wasn't 120, looks about 85-95 tops. I dont beleive you can get 120 on a 6N, also the max lowerage figure on kits is often with the helpers out.

Tom the Porsche split rims r custom. They r 18" genuine centres but with a 17" split rim. :)

yer i agree with danny, you cant lower a 6n more than 115 without a chassis notch, plus youve got helpers still in...

but not having a dig, just saying before some knob rips into you

good start tho man, plans for the future?

agree with that ^^ looks about the same height as mine and thats -100mm at front and -95mm back :)

still looks awesome though 8-)

Looks quality mate 8-)

Cant knock anything that youv done tbf

Looks top so far Luke,

Keep up the good work dude...got your eyes on a set of rims?

i just sanded them down with fine sandpaper around 1000grade so the paint had something to stick too, then i primed them with grey plastic primer and then gave them a light sand again and then sprayed them satin black. :)

hope this helps mate.

Kuszpit :)

nice work mate loving it lol, just to let u no if its wound down on coiles no helpers out its 100mm down just to clear it up lol, but still pretty low :), get them helpers out and get it on the floor :)
