what kinda problems chris?

I have that cat back stainless system on it but have decided after buying it etc that i dont like the tailpipes. as you can see it looks proper POOP! like a boy racers car. so want to hide it away behind the bumper without those tailpipes and new pipes to make the fumes go down and not off the back of my bumper. :)

well cos its custom to my manifold..i dont think the guys who made it did a top job cos it sounds likes its blowin' and the rubbers used to hold the system in place keep fallin', even tho they said that the ones used are performance bushes...

personally i think he is talkin bull plop!!!

gota take it back to them when i can move my car and get it sorted out, sounds awful :(

Just decided seen as you and Rob off here and E38 has just said to go for the GTI splitter. Will get that ordered Asap. :)

GTi splitter all the way, not a big fan of bonnet bra's

:biggrin: good lad. GTi splitters on 16v bumpers are full of all kinds of win, how they should have been new.

Yeh the GTI splitters do look great on the valver bumper and i have to agree they should have made them like that New :)

Any tip's on how to fit it? Will be fitting it with the bumper off. as i will have it off for fitting my new wing anyway.

Well first as you can see in the pictures i sanded the wheel down so it had a blank canves as such. And all i done to do that was work through the grades of sand paper from around 400 to 1000 grade and then all i done was coated the rim in Autosol metal polish and you's a cloth mop on th eend of a power drill to polish it. I just repeated this over and over till i got a shine i liked :)

Well i was going to update this once i had a few of my other mods done but i have had to put them on hold atm.

So heres a little update on things :)

Well first thing to sort where they awful tailpipes, some might like them but on my car and the way they sat i never.

then out with the grinder and a little bit of paint :)

Because of the exhaust bracket being made to sit the tailpipes bellow the bumper, its a bit of a problem with my Ride height. So thats on the to do list to sort out to tuck up further :)

Then came my new wing as the old one had a large dent in it which i pushed out for the time being.

Also seen as i had the bumper off i fitted my new GTI splitter :)

and the wing and splitter fitted. (the wing still dirty from sitting in my garage)

also generally moving my car took time lol (only a tinny bit of snow)

Then picked these up :)

the car then needed a wash because of the getting stuck issue

Had a look the other day and thought the cars changed quit a bit over the past 7 months lol. :)

Its my Surname, My Grandad came over from Poland whilst in the War and liked it in Scotland :)

alright mate, where did you get those mud flaps?

Standard on the 16v as far as i know mate, infact on any 6n :)

i want to get some for my 6n2, might get some universal fit ones with the VW logo. they look nice!
