Any1 had an FTO?

Featured Replies

Hi chaps after selling my old fto, had a 300zx and a leon since and now really miss it so looking for another one! woohoo

FTO owners or anyone in general; wanted to check is there a big difference between the auto and manuals in regards to performance? I've seen an auto mivec but also have a manual GR in the pipeline.. opinions welcome

Doesn't matter what car, manual is always best imo

Auto is just for lazy people :)

All pretty pants, not enough HP, 2.0 V6 is revvy but lacking in torque. Mivec is better, but not by much, Auto's are crap (slow change) so get a manual. Mate of mine imported a Mivec FTO and then couldn't sell it after he got bored with it (very quickly) and was forced to run around in it for about 3 months before it sold (at a much reduced price for a mint condition, low mileage import car)

Get a Honda Civic/CRX/Integra or a Toyota Corolla (AE101/111 - Supercharged!) if you must, but stay away from FTO's

Stepbrothers got a Mivec with the semiauto, pulls stupidly well.

i'll quote something i read in a mas power when i was a wee teenybopper

''lookes like a porche beater, can about keep up with a mondeo''

I've had a 300zx twin turbo, integra, loads of civics, polo gt's and 2 fto's, 2 cars i love out of them were the fto and the mk3 polo gt! each to their own i suppose its whatever floats your boat, i think fto's are a lot of car for the money, look great and move out as much as i need them to. I've seen a manual mivec 220bhp so hopefully will be getting that.. other option is a pulsar but they drink like phil mitchell
