Reliant rialto?

Featured Replies

Whats the insurance like on these? alkso anyone know what a decent price to pay for one is? I've basically figured i wanrt a rumaround while i'm building up the polo, but iunsurance on everything cheap is hellish beyond belief. I figure undesirable cars for peole my age should e cheaper to insure, so I'm looking at grim stuff.

I think the high insurance premiums for young drivers is less about how desirable their cars are, more to do with the possibility of them crashing into other people. A reliant rialto is probably as cheap as you'll get though.

Definitely, i cant give two fucks about being seen in sheds. otherwise i wouldnt have bought my polo.

pmls - upside down whistle

they must be unstable as fuck?

Depends a bit, yeah, they're easy to get on 2 wheels, but that's half the fun, and they always come back down again because the diff takes the power away from the wheel on the ground.

Believe it or not, they're set up remarkably well and to be fair, chances of rolling one are bloody slim, you could flip a mk1-3 polo over easier.

Insurance did go sky high on them at one stage, when the companies realised how many old fellas were driving them about on bike licences having never had any car training. I don't know if that's still the case though.

Look out for chassis rust, bodged to scariness electrics and play in the steering kingpin, because you might as well change the whole subframe as try to do a kingpin.

G40 it

lmao, still ended back up on all 3 wheels though ay

The kid who bought my scirocco turned up in his mates with a fireblade engine in the rear, not sure i'd fancy it myself :D

apparently there's an orange robin local to me with a dukes of hazard style 01 on the door and a 'i love the 80's' sticker in the rear window, my mate text me the other week to say he had just been racing it on the M6 and the bloke driving it was waring leather gloves and a motor bike helmet!

i might take a drive down and see if i can get a pic to post up of it later actually, still not seen it myself yet...
