Benn given a VDRS

Featured Replies

Think thats the order of the letters anyway! :-p For having no front plate on, and the rear being illegal, I'm not coming on here to moan and look for loopholes! I'm just simply asking for abit more light on it, the copper explained I had to get new plates, show them at the police station, and then all is good! But from what I can see on this stop form..it looks liek I have to take the car to a MOT station myself, and then take it to the policce with a certificate from the MOT station! Correct or not?

Just need a bit of explaination really! Tarrrrrr!

One of the copper was cool actually, was into his VW's saying he had a mk1 golf! He just wanted to have a word but the other copper gave me the VDRS! :x:lol: Ahwell, was my own fault!

Tar in advance!

yeah, I'm sure you have to take it to an MOT testing station and they have to aprove it; you then have to take it to the cop shop within 7 days i think...

Hope that helps.

yer you have to take it to a mot place and pay them somert like a tenner so they can give you a bit of paper to show the police, all a bit of a time waste but it has to be done :-(

You should have a pink form. You need to get this stamped by the MOT garage to say that your car is now legal again and then go to the police station and handover the form. You have 14 days from the day the VDRS is issued to do it and hand it in to the cops otherwise you can get reported for summons for the offence and get a fine.

From what he was saying, it seemed as if I took the car to the the police station and they looked at it to check I've changed it!! But ill get it to the MOT garage this week and sort it out! because I've got the new plates now!
