I'm really curious about this too! It looks like a 'rocco from every angle but the front, but if its had a front end conversion it looks factory!

Hahaha i knew you were going to be curious about that model... let's see who guesses it! 8-)

its not a rocco at all!!

Looks like a vaux to me

please tell us what it is

Gol GT?

Red thing is a pre '94 or so VW Gol. As far as I know all are made in Brazil but maybe they make them otherplaces in S America.

Does look quite like a MK1 Scirocco but are some major differences - such as the engine being mounted longitudinally rather than transverse.

Not sure what model that is but if I remember rightly they are mostly 1.6 and 1.8 watercooled. Mostly on carbs but some models had injection engines.

Interestingly the GOL was first launched with a front mounted air cooled 1600 engine with twin carbs, but you don't see many of them even in Brazil.

There are some other bodyshapes with the same front - the saloon is a Voyage, in both 2dr and 4dr, and there's a 3 door squareback/estate thing, the Parati.

Newer Gols look more like a cross between a MK3 golf, a fat MK4 Polo and an early Ibiza, but that earlier bodyshape is the best one.

edit - i see I've just been beaten to that! nice one tris..

you reminded me of the model names though - there is a GT bu there's also a GTS - which I think was the sporty one with injection and what the red one might be??

It's a 1987 VW Gol GTS, AP 1800 engine with 99cv.

Made, of course, in Brazil (VW Gol is only made there). The VW Gol is very popular in south america, mostly because the Polo was not introduced to all the southamerican countries, and its price is lower than a Polo.

and its fucking hard to get such a car in germany!ma drem would be the sp2

it looks like a quattro wannabe  still looks smart though

it looks like a cross between a quattro and polo

i want one

Ahh wow that's really cool! learn something new everyday :)

Glad you liked it ;)
