x2

but serious... ermm MR2

keep it vw get a eos

sure its a vw but when it rains u certainly know about it when you see a paddling pool in the boot..

personally id go for a porsche boxster.. 2 seats, glass rear window(on facelift models), mid engined, good build quality, very reliable and you have a porsche rather than a toyota

my step dad specialises in porsche www.paulfrench.co.uk

its still a porsche. parts and servicing can be crippling. and its not on their list

tvr griffith

Thats not one of the cars he's listed... :paranoid::retard:

none of them s2000

....and neither is that.... :retard:

The Mazda is a well loved car...it came in the top 5 of the nations favourite car. The new one is

much much less 'hairdressery' than the old style.

(its 11.39pm, i can't be bothered with good grammar!)

I'd go for the MR2, with the TTE turbo kit giving 184BHP and 0-60 in 5.9.

There's a reason why mx5's are so popular!

I would go for the mx5 defiantly, but I'm biased considering I want one

I pushed them towards S2000 too! I fapping love them, however to get one of a similar spec, age and mileage to those is around £20k, my parents are looking at spending about 10k. -and the car has to be newer that '04 because part of the reason for buying it is to get our personalised plate on!

@ Redline- the turbo for the MR2 won't happen!

There is a good reason why the MX5 is the most popular roadster in history. Thats right- out of all cars ever. You cannot beat it for a bit of 'top off' fun.

There is a good reason why an EOS wasnt even an option. That right, not even mentioned......

what are those VX220's like having never driven one i cant comment but they look pretty nice? you dont see that man of those about....i know you mentioned that everyone has an MX5...

Whats the issues with the EOS, they look awsome

mr2 for me as i am a toyota boy :ninja:

MX5, there's logic behind the rave reviews it's had over 10 years.

2 women in my street have an MR2 and the Tigra.. to be fair the MR2 isnt a bad car, i wouldnt buy a Tigra though, ever..

Shame about the S2000 though..

Are there any other options?

Well Dad likes the idea of the Tigra, because we can get a brand new one and he's never had a new car before. But I think buying new cars is silly anyway, for the sake of a few thousand miles the price difference is just unignorable.

Mum wants the Mx5, because she knows that it is a better car...

The Mr2 is cool, but they think the boot is too small (old people! fancy that as a consideration for buying a car!)

I've been hoping they get the Mx5 all along- as has been said, it's reputation exists for a reason

Get a miata, they're cool when done right:

lol lets hope for the best with his future cars then eh

According to racecar engineering has a 5500cc V10 TDI, 600bhp and 1050Nm. I think the main differences are the changes in the aerodynamics though, haven't read the full article yet.

ah yeah sounds about right...its one hell of an engine inside both cars

You can pick up a Griffith for around £9k these days, so if you cna afford to run and insure one then it's totally feasable... unlike an R10

Get a Mk1 MX5 - so much better looking than the later Mk's

Like I said, can't go older than '04 for that reason!

MX5 i'd say!
