well as some of you know i have bought my gt coupe back AGAIN. i never wanted to sell it in the first place but i got side tracked by the jetta :whip3: and needed a 5 door car due to the kids.

how it looked when i sold it (sorry phone pics)

i sold it to a guy at the end of April 08 he drove it for a while then got the opportunity of a life time to go down under for a year so of he went (jammy c un t) before left he was let down with parking space so it was parked in his dads yard since august rotting away .

after loads of pm's on my local site (www.jon44w.com) i found out where it was sitting and got on the ball to see if i could get it back.. right on cue mike was posting on rms (another local site) again and after about 1000 pm's we agreed on a price. around this time the wife wanted to move house so i was told i would have to wait :whip3: then after we moved in she give the money to buy it for my birthday ( she's a keeper) :woohoo:

i went to pick it up 2 weeks ago and couldn't believe how bad it was faded ( it was a bad winter in ni after all) the paint is shot there was mold growing in the inside, no back seats fitted ( but got them) and full of all sorts of stuff lol. i expected it to be bad but not this bad but under the circumstances i cant blame the fella. i paid half of what i sold it for and there was a nice surprise with her a mint set of bbs g40 rims ( ra's i believe??) :) . with the help of a friend i got the car lifted ( it didn't start) and left of at the house, charged the battery and she started first time

what next? i have decided to make it a bit lighter and tighter so first thing on the list to buy is new bushes all round.

took the arches off as well bit of a mess behind them must have fell off before and some stuck them on with silicone,took the side strips of as well, just 2 holes to fill in on the 2 back arches.

the car also needs the fuel tank replaced and there is a small hole under the cap :( but easy fix

full on lol well would like to keep the dash but thats it lol, need new front seats but not gonna bother with backs ( no kids in it to wreck it lol) its gonna be a weekend car, a bit of fun.

really missed flying about it have been complaining to the wife for ages about selling it lol. I wouldnt do many big runs, most of driving is round town so this is perfect. would also like to get a few track days in

its going to be a slow project due to work/family commitments but want to do it right!!!

not this year man wont be ready, would have come over for the weekend but going away the weekend after for a pi55 up so that will drain the funds.

new rims to be collected on tuesday and a strut brace aswell........ slowly but surely lol

went and collected my new rims last week. went for mk4 16v rims got a bargin imo £60 for the rims and tyres. going to get them painted soon.

can i have the sill trims and arch covers??

i am keeping the sill trims, the arch covers arent in good condation to be honest

long gone i am affraid :( they were too big imo.
