right these have been waiting for me to collect them for over a week so i went out and picked them up last night, i offered one up and it's spot on. i'm really looking forward to getting these fitted up now (now they're the right length. Lol) he did one and wasn't happy with it so he had another bash and produced two spot on skirts - all cut to length and square.

1.5mm curved steel, i'll weld them on to the existing sills and smooth them in. they'll look just like the normal sills but 10 - 15mm wider and around 20mm deeper.

well i took the day off work today with the aim of getting started on my skirts, after gathering all the materials and gas for the welder i started off.

i managed to get the drivers side skirt seam welded on along the side and underneath, also ground the welds down got a bit of filler on the sides and seam sealed underneath. before i finished sanding down the filler it stareted to rain so threw some primer on there and packed up.

i'm happy with the look so far even though it's rough and in mustard yellow primer, can't wait to see it all painted in white.

well hopefully they'll be done in time for no-rice and my photobucket account should be reactivated 8.11 so i can post some pics.

well i flatted and white primed the drivers side so should be ready for paint in the morning, looks much better in white - i can start to see what it'll look like completed.

yes steve, i'm painting it myself temporarily. i've got a few bits of bodywork that need attending to so i'll drop it in the bodyshop and get the lot done in one hit.

i got one side painted but the colour match is a bit off, good old halfords paint match!!
