hey all i've asked this question before but no one replied :(

anyway the problem seems to be when the car get to it's normal engine temperature ( needle straight up in 12 o clock position) the car just doesent seem to have the same power anymore ???

from cold its quite lively for a 1.0 and is fine all the way till it gets to its normal engine temperature. just before the needle gets to the 12 o clock position its still lively but as soon as it reaches it ,engine power just seems to go missing.

anyone have any clues to what it could be and things that i might be able to try/change ??

i understand it is only a 1.0 but it doesent make it sense to how it just loses power ??

The ecu puts more fuel in during warm up.

Might be worth doing a throttle body clean & running injector cleaner through the tank

the same is happening on my gti, not a massive loss off power but mine only does it if its hot outside, if youve got a induction kit on it then you need a good cold air feed, its annoying because i got outrun by a 05 plate astra today , but I'm trying to fit a cold air fan inside my cold air feed so that will help a lil, but what mods have you got?

maate tbf your car is slow anyway lol 1.4 8v lmfao my 1.0l mk3 kiks shit out of it , its somet to do with the air mass meter , take it to a vdub garage and plug it in for an ecu analaysis

tbh i have gone past the stage where i go round ilands on my tire walls , i have driving experiance now , i wil ocasonaly put my foot down but I'm not a idiot who puts others at risk

I'm not too sure m8 but i know on mine it was because of the induction kit sucking way to much warm air, but if its standard then I'm not actually 100% sure, you have to have a starting point tho so first

1. try some injector cleaner

2.try maybe a small service (if the ceramic on the plugs get old after time it wont disperce heat too good) worth ago for the sake of£20

3. pay a lil bit of money and get it put on a fault finder to have it checked at a last resort

you never know it could be summit stupid, my guess would be warm air tho. sorry i couldnt help anymore m8
