right i need to replace my wishbone but as with every think 1 bolt will not move and is starting to round off how am i ment to get it off

Is the bolt that runs thow the bush that near the sump

I just did the same job last weekend and got there in the end. The awkward bolt is the one near the sump. First you have to remove the engine mounting bolt (16mm) near the top suspension strut and jack the engine up slightly, enough for you to fit a socket onto the bolt head. It's done up really tight and I shattered my first 16mm socket. Went to my local auto factors and bought the super strong six sided 16mm impact socket version by Draper for £3.99, it's the matt black chrome vanadium one. This was a really tight fit on the bolt head, which is a good thing. I had to hammer the socket on so it fitted snugly and covered the whole bolt head. Then with a socket wrench and breaker bar it undone easily.

It was the size that first confused me as 16mm is a rare size for a bolt and I first ended up rounding it with a 17mm ring spanner. You need some serious welly down there and the 16mm, six sided impact socket and breaker bar was the only way. Don't be afraid to hammer the socket on, it's what it designed for.

You'll also need a crowbar to lever the part of the subframe where the rear wishbone bush fits slightly wider for you to refit the bush otherwise you'll be there all day trying to squash the wishbone back in. Don't worry, the subframe will re form when you tighten the bolt back up.
