no gt in here! going to slam in a 1.6 AEE I'm building up...need to do some strenghening though before it is dropped in...hoping for about 120bhp from engine before its in though...would settle for standard for time being though lol

If i can get my Gas botttle filled then i`ll help you weld her up and also to make the rear beam

more G40 spec.

If you want to remove the arch trims then hit the rivets with a 4mm drill till the head/flange

of the pop rivet comes away then poke it upwards.

You can go all the way through with the 4mm drill carefully though but try not to wobble

the drill bit as you don`t want to widen the holes.

sorry guys no updated on pics, my pcs fudged! so just a small update....

found a hole along the drivers side floor pan...right underneight the right hand seat runner....goes from rear footwell right up to there the front seat mounts...

fred G40 said he will come down and weld it back up for me once i hace preped it up...will get pics up sometime soon i hope!

also...was showing fred the progress n shit on the car...we decided to take front window out....same fate as rear....I'm a fool feel free to point and laugh! =[

good job it came out though as there is 2 small rust patches under the seats so can now get that fixed....

got rear beam off and car up on axle stands...all wheels are now off and sat on my daily....painted with black hammerite and a red hammerite lip =] for shits really lol looks funny....also got some centres from a mk4 set of steels...dont fit but again looks funny....

wow not updated for over 2 months! not much has been done btw things been going wrong with the daily....

started stipping the paint off the rust hole....going to cut it back to good metal hopefully next few days if i can get some buiscite wheels for the grinder.

this bit has already been done looks qoite sterdy, going to check underside when i remember

managed to finally get engine out=] just dropped it to floor...then lifted the v heavy car over and pulled it out =] lol fun..still need to take off brake cyl..lines...steering business =] again next few days they will be off..

still to me taken off is the susspension...then we are down to a complete bare shell =]

also got alot of the smaller dints and covered up the rust with primer for a temp messure untill my respray =]

missed on major rust spot though =[

so also been a long time sinse this has been updated too....puley because i have no cash what so ever....unfortunatly..

but this loon WILL be on the road this year! whether it looks like a rat or not....it wont stay a rat btw just untill i can afford a decent paint job.

so all i have done really is fuck all....

taken EVERYthing off it....so it is now just a bare shell....waiting to get the floor welded up and make it safe to drive.

i had to move the car to somewhere out of the way so we can part cars where it was. so had to get it on the trolly....and thought wed hav a wee laugh at that time....hardcore airride anyone? lol

as we needed the trolly, i had to take it off and but the belly on the deck. looked ultra cool...so i put the panels back on and those space savers. seeing it looking like tht i decided i want it on the road ASAP.

which is why i am gonna keep it rat for a bit.

i would if i could, no cash remember. payioing of debts first, but 1 more little one to pay then sorted =] coupe WILL be back by feb and this will be done before I'm 22!

when i have the money ill buy one, I'm not g40ing it within the next 6 months mate, when i do my respray ill slap it in then I'm going to build the G40 from scrach and overhaul it.

seriouly dont rebuld a G40 yourself it will got wrong esp with you doing it, with your pikey tech systems!
