yer they are a big tire, they fitted a slammed golf, and looked nice

165/50 Bridgestones should do the trick.

15 are a little big for a polo arent they? Your going to have to run silly skinny tyres, and I'm not sure your hadling will be up to much with little air in the tyre

Polo6n1600i used to run G60 steelies on his old white G40.I thought

i had a couple of pictures of it but i can't find them to post them up.

I'm unsure of what rubber he had on them but his car was on a 60/40

drop iirc....

Get the 14" lookielike MK3 golf ones, much cheaper too!

Thats always an idea!

Well standard tyres are usually 145/155 for a mk3 so 165 is still wider than standard but without being so wide that it makes your steering unnecessarily heavy.

According to a fella from blackcircles.com they are stopping making the bridgestones in 165/50/15, the ones listed on mytyres and camskill are just the ones left in the warehouse hence the price is going up and up. However he could of just made that up

Bridgestone always stop making them. But they always end up making them again a few months down the line.

Doesn't suprise me tbh, but they were going up and up in price so I went for Falkens in the same size but for £10 less per tyre :smirk:

I know, the prices are daft. When I bought my first set cost me under £100. The most recent set I bought cost me £200!!

Best tyre size to use on a lowered mk3 polo runnin 15's is 195/45/15's, these aint the cheapest but fit fine and DONT rub if your suspension is good and not made in taiwan!!!lol, even 4 up and i would recommend toyo proxies as turn any mk3 into a go cart, unbelivable amount of grip!! Hope that helps?

not really, i think they fit the arches nicely. i run 165/50s and have no issues with the handling, if anything i prefer them on 15s and I've tried most 13/14" combos commonly used. they handle g40 power fine. its an absolute myth about tyre width. polos, dont need mega wide tyres to handle well.
