LAZER TRACKING FOR LOWERED CARS

Featured Replies

Hi guys

I have slam lowered my car recently. It is sitting on 16"s with help from FK coilovers.

After enquiring at several garages as to getting the laser tracking done, I have been turned down as they can't get my car on the ramp.

Does anybody know where in Oxford (and surrounding areas) I can get this done? Your help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Sunni

the only place i know that have flat ramps are pro tyre or northway tyes, they based all over give them a call, i go pro tyre in Enfield, but now you joined our leagues expect to be paying around £70-£90 for full wheel tracking and alignment!!!

Great, thanks for your help, will give them a call tomorrow.

More advice from others will still be appreciated.

you need to find a garage with dunlop analogue gauges, not lazer ones, dunlop gauges can be used on the garage floor

Chris Mullins Tyres in Gloucester, got the best equiptment in the country - i paid just over £40 for a full wheel geometry setup/alignment as mine had serious negative camber. Mine's hardly high, probably about 80mm on coily's.

They had no worries with mine.

Highly recommend them mate, under an hour away from you.

There a place in Milton keynes JPS tuning does it £35 + vat

Exellent guys

That's really good, I'll phone around and have a chat with them.

Find a local garage that runs a motor sport car, I have "automech" near me who own an old ford escort which they tune in garage and is rather low so have all the equipment to track/align lowered cars. £25 isn't bad for tracking and camber adjustments.

Found a garage that does it round by me without lasers after I got turned down everywhere else. Cost me £20

got mine done at awesome gti manchester was quite expensive but very good

I got it done in Abingdon by merityres, they were very helpful. charged me £60... i thought it was ok as it was local and i didn't need to travel anywhere.

as i said before, they did not touch the rear wheels!!!! they said there are not adjustable!!!!!!!!!! DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE??????

I'm trying to get my wheel geometry set after dropping about 80mm on coilovers. Most places wont touch it :( Need to get it sorted quick as i'd rather not rape my brand new Yokos :o

Just ring around garages and explain the situation instead of wasting petrol driving around.

You want dunlop guages, and easy access in and out of the premises.

I know of a place in Birmingham for when I'm at uni, but yet to find one up here in Leeds.

Have you asked on ED38? Thousands more members on there, so more chance that someone knows a place near you.

yeh due to the set up on the rear, that being a beam axle it is not adjustable. you'll find this to be the case on most front wheel drive cars the only exception i can think of off the top of my head is the non-quattro series 1 audi tt
