Going through the service book I found an extra one and thought that if I could, I'd return it to the current owner as it's not for either polo I own. So if you or someone you know has a plate that's the same as above, let me have the two remaining numbers and we'll see if you're a winner! The last stamp in the book is for Oct 2001...

Is there a way to find out if it is still on the road as I don't really want to just bin it...?

you can do one of those vechicle status reports, some check different things but sure, most check if they have be SORN or not, try that if thsts what your looking for, most charge aswell by the way

Just tried the DVLA one and it came back with Vehicle Status - Unlicensed. So best guess is it's gone to the big scrap heap in the sky!

Oh well.
