Mk2 Golf 1.3 CL - 10 months MOT, 6 months tax

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I have just moved house and am working all summer so unfortunately, the time has come to sell. I am also going to be working and studying a Masters from September and so won't be able to invest the time or money that the car deserves.

1985 1.3CL

Mars Red

46500ish on the clock - steadily increasing as car is still a daily driver

MOT due June 2010

Tax expires January 2010

In the last 6 months: New battery, starter motor, coil, sparkplugs, dizzy cap, rotor arm, exhaust manifold, ball joint

In the last 12 months: New alternator, new distributor, new leads

Good points:

Electric Porsche seats

Lowered on FK coilovers

Momo steering wheel

Single wiper conversion

Badgeless grille

Pressed plates

Wolfsburg Edition window winders and gear knob

Bad points:

Heater matrix needs replacing (it is currently bypassed) - I have a spare matrix which is ready to go in

Speaker part of driver's side door card is cracked

This is a good runner and an incredible shell for a 24 year old car (only rust on the car is a little on the inside of the driver's door and the battery tray). Paintwork is in mint condition and the car has been garaged for most of its life. Only 46k on the clock as well and no expense has been spared by myself in keeping this car running as well as possible. The car runs sweet for its age but with all the extra driving I will be doing, I don't want the car to be doing daily motorway trips.

I am based in Northwood (HA6) but don't mind travelling within reason.

May consider a PX for a Lupo/ Polo Mk4/ Polo Mk5.

Thanks for looking.

Ashley

Bit of an update, the car is still being used as a daily driver and has done almost 800 miles since the MOT 2 weeks ago, mileage is now close to 45600.

Car is still available! Really need this gone soon as taking a 4-speed up and down the motorway for 60 miles every day is not ideal! Open to offers...

would you swap for a very clean mark 3 polo GT?

Hi mate, do you have any pics?

No pics at the moment mate sorry, cameras on the blink. Its metallic blue, MOT till March, 6 months tax. Just sorted a little sill and arch rust out - exhaust is blowing slightly around centre pipe but apart from that she's a beaut. Perfect clean slate for modding.

Will sort some pics out soon.
