Leather Seats for a MK3

Featured Replies

Anyone know of any leather seats that will go in the MK3 Polo?

A straight fit would be best, post as many as you can name!

I was going to modify this post so we can get a proper list on the go.

I'm looking at some VW Golf VR6 leathers for mine, anyone know if they would go in?

So get posting, I'll make a list :D

Hey Bobby!

Might look into the RS Turbos as they look saaaaavage!

Any idea of a rough price how much it would be t retrim 2 in leather??

Don't be tempted to go for some cheap leather trimmer. They are usually cheap because they do a shit job. Always try and find previous work from people so you can see what its like.

I remember seeing someone had paid £1000 for a leather trim on this site and it was absolutely diabolical. Looks so cheap and crap, round bits had edges, was lifting up on the door cards. Was truely shocking.

So MK2 Golf ones and Corrado's will go straight in?

Are they a straight fit again?

Scirocco are a straight fit iirc

Herman was soo 8-) 8-)

golf mk2 90 spec bases, use them on any golf mk3 seats and they'll drop straight in.

scirocco's ain't a straight fit guys, the slider lock mechinism is slightly different so i got a hammer and moulgrips to it :finger: Very stiff to slide back and forth thou, will try to mod it in future. Also the high adjust lever touches the runners when you put it in the low position

OK maybe I'll keep a look out for MK2 Golf or Corrado seats :D

Rich - I can use the sub frame from the MK2 golf to attach a MK3 golf seat can I?

Cause I've been looking at a few MK3 Golf seats and they do look good, quite easy to find too!

Out of the MK2 golf, Corrado and MK3 golf I imagine the MK2 golf seats sitting best in the MK3 polo? (Tongue twister :p)

what bases are you useing for the RST seats ??

there's some mk2 golf minters on ebay, if you type in mk2 golf seatslol
