I use Morrisons diesel in my passat all the time, I guess that's not going to have bio-ethanol in it? At my local morrisons they have separate pumps with bio-diesel in them, 85% bio-diesel (i.e. veg oil) and the rest normal diesel and anti-waxing agents (I think methanol is commonly used). I don't use it anyway since it's no cheaper and it seems pointless risking using it even though it should technically work fine in my passat when there's no benefits for me.

I don't use Morrisons petrol in my polo since they don't do high octane stuff, normally use BP ultimate.

Supermarket fuel for the lose anyway.

I work for morrisons and have to pass the petrol station on the way out and most i will ever put in is a £5 and thats only to tie me over till i get to a station with high octane.

some have also got rid of the octane rating stickers as they can not guarantee the octane rating, apparently every delivery can be a different quality.

S*it i put some morrisons petrol in not long ago, ok only £10 and only because my car was coffing it was so empty. But I will avoid unless really have to.

Bollocks. Put £15 of unleaded in the mk4 earlier

I always use BP fuel in the G so no worries there.

In the past 3 weeks my 6n's had about 80 quids worth of morrisons petrol in...

I only use Shell, drivers club ftw!

I played with bio-ethanol a couple of years ago. I used Morrisons bio-ethanol in the existing 95ron unleaded,my own blend which reached substantial percentage by the third concentration - and i needed to strip my bike carbs down within 500 miles.

It corroded the pilot jet springs badly (both the steel itself and the zinc coating) and heavily tarnished all brass parts including float valves and all jets. Its like bloody acid.

I would suspect that most carbs will be notably damaged in just a few thousand miles on the 15% percent claimed in that link.
