Not a bad car by a long way, straight and tidy.

Howerver i already knew what i wanted to do with a GTi so the day be4 i bought these from a guy in Essex  :

8j Front and Rear :o

First of all I started by refurbing the wheels, they wont be to everyones taste but i really think they work :finger: :

The test fit:

POKE!

Well as you can see they poke quite alot so as i wanted to stay as low as poss we decided on Regal Autosport ajustable camber shims and 175-50-15 tyres.

So after the camber shims arrived we went for 1.5 deg of negative camber and 0.12 deg of negative toe to clear the arches. we ajusted the front to match :-)

During fitting the shims the rear hub split and the wheel bearing when eveywhere so i got some shiney new hubs

While i was playing man game in our workshop at work my other half (Ami) had me fully strip out my A,B and C pillers and roof lining for a bit of random retriming. here ar the results:

again not to everyones taste, but i don't care :finger:   (Big Big Big thanks to Ami)

Last but not least, during the wheel refurb i decided that the plastic centre caps were to badly cracked and weathered, so i sent them to a friend to have them remade in Carbon fibre (thanks stu :) )

All that was left was to finaly ajust the coilovers to sit right (big thanx to my mate Kev) and give it a clean (thanx Adski), we gave it a good wash, used Dodo Supernaturals Clay and then waxed it using Dodo Supernatural wax:

the coilovers have settled now so we lowered the back a little bit more today  .

Got a few more thngs going on atm, got a splitter being made in carbon fibre and a new pin strip for the grill and a new GTi grill badge as my 'i' in a bit faded :paranoid:

i'm only gonna use the Bonnet bra in the winter months, but, Ami has taken it away to have our 'OEM+' club logo stitched into it in Cherry red.

hope you all like

Not a fan of the headlining as I don't believe it goes with the red trim inserts, but the exterior looks mad. Love it.

What wheels are they? RM's or RS's? I don't know the difference apart from the RS are the better ones and more curvy?
