climatic aircon not working

Featured Replies

Recently i had an issue where there was pretty much no air coming out of vents even with the fan set to full speed. A friend looked at it for me and told me it was because filter hadn't been changed in a long time and was clogged up. The filter was replaced and now the air is coming through as it should, the problem now is the climatic semi auto air con has stopped working. I put the fan on and press the air con button (which does illuminate still when pressed) but the air does not go cold as it should, also i do not feel the revs drop when i first switch air con on like i used to when it was working properly. I checked the air con fuse and that is still intact.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

i have the same problem atm mate. I am going to get it regased. and hopefully that should be it :)

Gas level is the first place to check. Once gassed up see if you can see if the compressor spins when turned on.

Thanks for reply, I'm guessing re-gassing is something a garage will need to do and not something i can do myself? If that's the case how much does it cost for a garage to refill the gas?

Kwik fit will do it for £45. Probably around the same upto £60 at and independant. I work at a main dealer and we charge £85. So ring around and see!
