2nd polo....3rd polo...........

I'm only my 8th! haha

Some guys on here have had shed loads more than that!

My dads mate at work was on about getting rid of his sons polo cheap. Then he didn't want to sell it, so I started looking into them, not wanting a Fiesta, saxo, Corsa, Punto and Clio, I looked at old polos.

I went to see a polo in Derby a week after my 16th birthday, brought it for £125, ran it for almost two years now I've brought another in the same colour but a 1.3! Cant see me not having a polo/golf now.

dad bought a mk4 polo for my first car

before i got that i bought myself a mk2 to play with

i bought my first GT because i liked it....and it was power/insurance cost ratio

i bought it back because i liked it

had a couple more but its just been because theyv been cheap and iv needed transport

1st car was a 1.1 5dr punto 55bhp

was sick of gettong beat by people lmao n wanting something faster

looked for many cars and found the 1.4 16v polo with 100bhp so i was like jesus 100hp at 17 i thought that would be alot lol

so bought it not really knowing much bout the dub scene knew a bit but not alot from my cuz with his golf

joined this forum when i bought the car and never looked back since and never will now dubs all the way

keep trying to make my dad get a people carrier with some bbs on lol

buthes sticking to his 4x4 turbod 7 seater toyota crap haha but its fun to drive

reason i got into polos was that after owning 2 minis i realised they rusted quicker than you could drive them. a mate of mine owned a polo coupe which seamed pretty solid and reliable, so i went out and got one. stopped counting how many polos I've owned after i got to 10!

I was into my mk1 golfs first, had two. One got nicked and burned out, and insurance money was enough to get a mk2 coupe s- which to be fair was an awesome car.

Got the missus a 6n, and since then stuck with polos- nice size, bit smaller than a golf, and does just what i need.

Had 3 6n's now (2x 1.4 8v and 1x 1.9D) and two mk2's (bready and coupe s)

Cant beat them if you ask me like.

i was a kid when the 2f was released.we have had a good relation to a local dealer so the showroom and of course the cars were my playground so i fell in love with the mk3 and i swore 2 myself that i will own such a dub when the time will come...

My sister got given a mk2 squareback as her first car and i like it but there was something i always liked about the mk3 coupe (i didnt know there were mk2 coupe's though or i might have expanded my search) and i owned an old mini as my first car and used to pass the same house every weekday whilst going to college and see two or three mk3's parked up and just loved them even more - eventually the right one for me came up and i bought it - turns out that house was PhilJ's

had a mk1 clio rt, which got to be honest was loads of fun to drive but highly unreliable. Wrote that off 10 months after buying it, then my girlfriend who coinsidentally happens to be German persuaded me to get the polo tdi, always fancied a polo but always found them out of my price range. Anyways tdi came up at the right place and it was a must have.

And thank god i did otherwise no doubt id be rolling round in a french piece of crap, so much love to the GF.

well I've owned my polo for a day and a half, and i love it more than anything in this world haha

the first time i ever saw a dubbed VW was when i went to a gig and some kid who was there had one, ever since that i fell in love,

then all my mates started to get them, so i finally coughed up the cash for mine on tuesday and i really dont think il ever change from a VW

Funnily enuf when it was time to get my first car he found a nice little mk4.

(and there was no way in hell i was having a vauxhall like the rest of my entire family! *shudders*)

Bought my first car at the age of 17, that was a mk4 6n, off a mates gf for £400. only thing wrong was a fat kid skateboarded into the side wing and dented it.

Write-off two years later - NO fault btw.

Then last month bought a 6n2 GTi

i started looking on auto trader etc for a new car because i missed driving i was looking for something different something you don't see everyday of the week

i was originally looking for a mk1 fiesta because i had one as my first can but i didn't like the window line so i started looking at vw polo's after i sore a slammed mk2 bready on the motorway

and then i sore this

and that was it i just had to have it

I was always into aircooled stuff and first car was a beetle. Then it became too much to run as i was skint At a clubmeet there was a guy with a nice mk3 coupe and i decided i wanted one :)

are vauxhall actually that bad like the mark 2 corsas , they dont apeal to me but my gf just got 1

Wanted something like a 306 D Turbo while having me lessons, but skint my grandma gave me her N reg Fiesta (nice jesture). Well i really didn't like it, drove a Polo (albeit newer than mine) at work and liked it the rest is history.

I've owned 3 polo 6n's its a weird adiction

Wanted an original Mini but couldn't find a good one. Neighbour had this breadvan mk3 for ages and I thought there was something qwerky and cool about it so I bought one of those instead.

I was saving for a Mini aswell but then my dad gave me his old mk3 polo.

The Fiesta Zetec i wanted as a first car was sold so i got a Polo instead

oddly enough i got into polos by using the door on the side!

After quiting my job to go back to uni had to sell my car as I couldn't afford it but needed a car. So I brought my first polo D reg breadvan looked like a nail but I loved driving it manual choke rules.

Since then i've had 3 mk2's and 2 mk3's

and current doing my project loom GT because of this forum thanks clubpolo

i've always admired the dub scene but wanted to experience as much driving as possible so i ended up buying 6 vauxhalls, 2 bmw's, a clio, a hyundai and 2 honda's then to my first vw, a polo coupe :).. 2 litre corsa had to be the most fun though

wait, tell a lie, i owned a Mark1 golf gti with the 1.8 8v engine from a mark2 with a racing cam, fuel regulater, lightened flywheel, bits done to head, and perspex windows all round, so this would be my 2nd vw

On a side note, you got any more pictures of your coupe G40Jon? thinking of doing the green badge and green strips on bumpers similar to yours and wanna know how it looks :)

wey basically i was into VW before i could drive due to my mates being into them alot and i couldnt insure a mk4 golf so it had to be a polo thus i started looking for 6n's then ended up finding my 6n2 and bought it

never looked back.. bar its very slow :(

My dad drove a Mk2 Golf 16v Gti .. An Oaky too and i wanted a Mk2 Golf but he got me a Mk3 polo for my 17th B-Day ..

Ever since its all been about the polo's for insurance and modification cost reasons
