because at 17, buying a 1.3 polo gt that would eat a 1.3 mk2 golf was a no brainer.

Always wanted a mk2 golf GTI, but polo was cheaper!

my cousin and his mates were into the dub scene, one of them has a ledgendary mk5 polo 16v Turbo (jazz bluee on RS's)

and my uncle who sells cars had a jazz blue 5 door 16v going cheap and bought it as my first car when i was 17,

rest is history.

my 1st car was a inherited mk3 breadvan.

That got me into polo's, found this site, then wanted a GT, got a GT, modded it loved it. Cheap and it kept up with mk2 golf GTI 8v's!

Then i dunno really, fancied something newer. Looked at 6n2 GTis, a lad i knew was selling one, that i knew had been well looked after. SOLD! to me :)

next car looks like a r32 tho....

saw his fit ass grey GT 3years ago and i'm sat here in the garden lookin at my collection of 5!!! have just ventured in to the world of the golf aswell but i'm pretty sure i'll stay faithful to my routes!!!

My bro had a mk2 golf gti many moons ago and my GF had the pinky purpley colour mk4 polo then i bought a mk4 golf tdi in black as we had a baba on the way a couple of months later i crashed my clio and bought my polo saloon and love the way it handles on the coilies :) when i change in going to get a mk4 hatchback :p

Mother always had a Mk2 Polo when I was growing up, then gave it to me when I passed my test. Still got it.

I've grown to love the look of the Mk2 Polo, nice angular shape. This car's got its problems but it has never failed to make a journey and it's really cheap to run and insure.

Between the ages of 17 and 19 I bought cars that were cheapish but a bit quick for someone with 2 years driving experience that didn't really have any driving talent. Anyway I had a bit of a rethink and decided to start again. Bought a 1.0 Mk3 Polo coupe and never looked back. Bought only VW's ever since with just 2 sways one to a Saxo VTR and one to a BMW E30 325.

To this point I've now owned 7 Polos and still have 3 to date.

for me it was going along to Ultimate Dubs last year and then i knew a Dub was what i wanted.
