hows the finish on the hammerite?

is it brush finish or that hammerite static spray gun?

Its been edited in paint all round the bottom of the car. and a big white ring around it.. wtf?

And why did you hammerite it? The finish can be good, My steels are in hammered finish hammerite out of a tin. I also did some strut braces in smooth hammerite out of a spray can and they came out awesome tbf!

Yeah the finish CAN be good with hammerite, it's just the UK's equivalent of Rustoleum which loads of peeps have painted there cars in with pretty staggering results. Usually with a roller, loads of wet & dry, and a shed load of time

I've used hammerite on wheels before, but its not great for painting cars with. it doesnt shine like the rustoleum stuff and reacts if overpainted within 2 weeks. engine enamel would have worked better as its very similar to the rustoleum stuff.

breadvanmk3: you should look into the rustoleum stuff as you can get hold of it in the uk via the net, then google some topics on painting a car with high density rollers. as sentral has suggested you can achieve a really good finish (sometimes better than spraying depending how much effort you put in) either way it will look a hell of a lot better than what you've got at the moment

the car has a ring round it because i cut the car out exept the wheels and slammed it

o and the paint work is a tin of paint from wickes and a brush, it took me half hour and my girl friend saw it and wouldnt get in it again, so i sanded it all back off and then it went rusty and then the steering rack messed up so i sold the whole car for £45

that was my old car i have a decent one now

u do have a really good point:p , but i wasnt trying to make it look good i was just messing around the car was ratty so i made it look funny, well funny in my eyes
