well its probably faster but no where near as cool!!... I'm sure you'll get more respect in a polo than that tin can!! lol

get a polo 16v and spend a bit of dosh on the engine would be nearly as fast with a bit of money spent I'm sure!

Plus these cars remind me of old womens cars!

POLO FTW!!!

onli lukin @ tha for the cheep insurance

seems like a death trap, wont stand up well in a crash

bet thats fun, i had a play with a rapid one of these once in my mk2 16v, this one had what looked very much like an incercooler in the front bumper... when i first found it he was playing with a load of super bikes

needless to say i wasn't playing with it for very long :(

you'd be a hell of a lot safer crashing that than a mk2 polo.

hmmmmmmm, my mate had a gti that would do 135mph and that was stupid. I'm sure it would crumple ina high speed collision with anything bigger than a pebble!

the rover FTW!

Yes you may die quicker if u crash but fuck it, ull be having more fun in that than you will the polo

I wouldn't touch that. Not because it's a rover, but because it has the tell-tale signs of being be a complete boyracer who's probably ragged it to within an inch of it's life. (see: 'race harnesses'

Boy racer.. hardly

How do you work that out?

LOL youd need sto spend alot on a 16v polo to get the same power/weight

id go with the rover, or buy my 205 gti!

xcore, i think we should leave him to think that 1.4 16v's are the fastest cars on the road

thta 100 is sweet, my mate ethan is doing the same conversion in his as we speak and yeh its bllody a stupidly hard conversion, and they are soooooo mint, i would love one, easy better than a mk2-3-4-5-6-7 polo but neva as good as a mk1 :)

I'd rather have a Polo though, because at the moment, speed and performance isn't what I'm after in a car.

i would have that metro put the interiour back in so it looks more stelthy and have some fun :-D

Polo, my dads pumped it into my head never to have a metro, Speeds not everything.

Polo, my dads pumped it into my head never to have a metro

sounds like my dad

i technically owned a metro gti years ago....although i never saw it

id drive it....I'm sure itd be fun

and tbh itd withstand a crash aswell as a polo

What did you dad say? probably opinion and not fact.....

My cousin had one and it was rusting and stupidly unrealiable. He just says there unreliable, not good cars at all. Maybe hes wrong, but I don't like the look of them at all anyway, so I wont be getting one.

but they do rot for fun and rovers dont have the best of reputations for reliability....so the man has a point

my dad always says caddys are a heap of scrap.......funny though when i mentioned buying one a while ago he sounded tempted buy the idea

a personal case then... So if i went and bought a dodgy ass mk2/3 tomorrow and it was unreliable that woul make them ALLL unreliable and waste of space then...?

I give in

did you read the above?

Iv owned a couple of rovers (not that id admit it often mind) and they are un reliable.....i know plenty of folk who tinker with the metro and they like to rust

Chances are you get 10 metros and 10 polos, I'd put alot of money on it that more of the polos would be alright. Lets be honest, its not the only case of a dogy metro, why would people have the same opionion about them if theres no truth. BTW I like your metro METROMON :p
