Hi there all i've decided to sell my 1988 polo coupe S

well where do i start i've owned the polo since the 3/12/08

only 111.291 miles from new which is under 5300miles a year

MOT till end of may 2010

no tax

its only had one owner before me

over £1000 spent on new suspension

PhilJ 80/60 spring & shock kit with the rears set one from the bottom

g-laderseite adjustable top monts

g-laderseite TCA's

g-laderseite anti roll bar blocks

new VW G40 anti roll bar

new vag front wheel bearing fitted by VW in reading

new parts not fitted

VAG engine mounts

g-laderseite rear beam bushes

spare vag nuts and bolts

wolfsberg gear nob and door pins

taylor made floor mats

mk3 style door handles

used parts not fitted

red striped grill

2 head lights

4 grill spot lights

Bad Bits

it was involved in a accident on the 24/01/09 which caused damages to the drivers side front wing and rear quarter i've got a new used wing to replace it with in primer

i've started getting the dent out of the rear quarter i haven't finished it yet and it will need painting

there's a bit of rust on the bottom of the windscreen n/s which isn't that bad and has been treated

there's a bit of rust on the rear wheel arches and on the front panel and some little rust patch's on the bottom of the doors and on the rear valance

all the rust has been treated

there's also a tear in the drivers seat

its registered as a Cat C due to the accident on the 24/01/09

and will need a VIC test to get a log book which cost about £40/£50 i've got the form ready to send off i just haven't got around to do it

i've got the new keepers slip thought so you can buy tax

i've got 2 new wings for it that I'm painting at the moment

i don't know what its worth or if i'm better off breaking it

i know i wont get what i put in to it back

as i've side before i've got two new wing's

over than the drivers side rear quarter and the wings the body's in good condition

its a one owner car from new and i've put a lot of new vag parts on it

i know what it owes me but i can't ask over £2k for it

so if there's any parts you want let me know

its fair point spending that much on the insurance, but very difficult to think why it is worth more than 1k, and that is me really stretching as much as i can.

Just my opinion so dont read too much in to this.

thats not on insurance the £2k is on parts etc

i don't know why but i just fill like i need a change and to do that i need to sell the polo

i don't want to break it but if i have to i will do to get some of my money back

right dude in my opinion people arnt overly picky about suspension! if ud spent £1000 on other parts, eg wheels the id expect to pay a higher price!

I've spent similar price on mine but iv got RM's coilovers, painted roof plus loads more and i couldnt really ask £2000+

but with mine its noticably modified, whereas with yours people would still have to spend the money getting a set of wheels etc!

this isnt me tryin to put u down dude, just tryin to help u figure out a price

Price £1200 ONO

may still be a little high dude, i paid £1100 for mine and it came wit

RSL cults (cost £1000) shocks & springs plust few other suspension bits uve done. opel wingmirrors coloured to the wheels.

aero wipers, full ss exhaust, 4 branch manifold (£300) MINT engine bar with 90k! and a cusom made grill wit derby lights

again i aint tryin to shoot u down or anythin,lol
