Trying to get rid of the whistling the car makes, what wing mirrors would fit on a 6n? That is from other cars.

Besides from other cars, has anybody got these on their polo with pics? I only found this one:

It doesn't look that shabby, but I'd have to take a look from other angles really.

i dont think many people have them mirrors on here mate.

i know that 6n2 mirrors fit on a 6n no bother and people say they look better so i'd deffinatly consider those. they'll be cheaper than M3 mirrors!

how would the 6n2 mirrors fit on? would you have to use the whole unit? or could you just use the actual stubby bit of the mirror? would the wiring be the same for the electric mirrors? :-)

Prolly, but I'm trying to see if widening the gap between the car and the mirror will get rid of the whistling noise. After doing a bit of experimenting it seems that it is the mirrors that cause whistling at around 100mph. I'll try to get some second hand 6n2 mirrors from a breakers yard and give it a go. Anything to get rid of the noise! THE NOISE!

Hahaha love the fact that all you bothered about at 100mph is whistling mirrors not the po-po how often do u travel at 100mph in your polo? Long enough to do your head in n search for a change? Or do u just want new mirrors haha! I don't personally like dtm mirrors, those m3s don't look as bad as some I've seen but deffo stubbys ftw!

Well you can clearly hear it at 100mph, but even at motorway cruise speeds they make enough noise, if you don't have the radio on. If there's wind it's bloody annoying. It's not a huge thing but enough to make me want to improve it.

And yes, it's an excuse

Stubby mirrors eh? Where can I get them, or what can I get them off? A lupo?
