Silky smooth!

Sure is! :)

Picked the car up today - needs a good clean and all, but I'm very happy with the paint job! Only issue were two small imperfections on the driver's side door. They're going to re-paint the door at the end of the month when they do the bonnet : ) Let me know what you think!

Looks top with the respray! 8-)

Cheers! Nope hasn't had a proper machine polish yet - going to wait until the bonnet's been resprayed. The driver's door needs respraying too because the paint reacted very slightly with a skim of filler that was used to iron out two 1p sized trolly-bumps and the paint on the filler bit is a bit lighter so the dents show up more than they did before. They're respraying the door for free though, even though you can hardly see the imperfection! : )

Next step is me getting up to Horndean to rebuild an engine with a friend I've got up there. I know close to nothing about mechanics, so he's going to talk me through it : )

this looks sweet! you sold the moons?

This looks great.

It's nice to see a breadvan that has been given the whole treatment rather than a piece of scaffold wedged under the arches.

Absolutely stunning mate! Agree with the above, it's really nice to see a breadvan being treated properly. My personallyfave shape of Polo ever

i dont usually like the breadvans but this is rather sweet

Cheers guys!

Time to bring this thread back from the depths of club polo's databases.

I bought a GT donor car last week, and it is being trailered to my friend Rich's house today, where we start work on the engine conversion!

Rich is going to be doing the work, and I'm going to be helping him, and learning a lot. I know barely anything about engines, so this is going to be a big learning experience, and I'm really looking forward to it!

On the way is a 4-2-1 SS exhaust manifold from PhilJ :)

Pics of the GT come tonight! :)
